Dpuk, our colleague at work gave all of us a box of gift to proclaim his son’s one month old today. Congratulations!

Many people have heard the Singapore government’s call to produce more babies eh? šŸ˜‰

Today’s box gets more traditional and I think I like it this way.

Elijah is such a nice name too. The baby’s middle name Aslan is because his dad loves the character from Narnia šŸ˜‰

Wonder what’s inside? Ang Ku Kueh, that’s in the shape of red ingots. There were two red eggs inside. I was hungry, saw the eggs and I peeled the eggs and ate it then I remembered, oh! I forgot to ‘document’ it down.

Well, there is another colleague whose box of red stuff is still untouched.

What’s inside the red ingots?
Half of them had peanuts filling.

The other half had bean paste. I like the peanut version of it.

If you want to read more about this tradition, hop over to fellow food blogger AromaCookery’s post some time ago about Man Yue.
