Cousin's birthday dinner @ Aunt's place

Yesterday we celebrated our cousin Christine's birthday.
We had it at Uncle and Aunt's place and aunt prepared the following for us!

Steamed Kampung Chicken with garlic sauce.
Doesn't it just look so delicious?

Steamed Kampung Chicken

Sambal Sotong and Prawns.
It's so so pedas! This batch of sambal that was prepared seems to be extremely spicy!

(Do you all have your own containers of prepared home made sambal that can be used to whip up a quick sambal something dish?)

Sambal Sotong and Prawn

Satay Chicken.
Aunt's experimenting, it's nice, but next time she's going to fine tune it more. Maybe less chilli padi. :-)

Satay Chicken

Xiao Bai Cai with garlic.

Xiao Bai Cai

Christine's daughter love this. So aunt steamed this for her.
We like it too. LOL...

Steamed Pomfret

We have not had this soup for sometime.
Bitter Gourd Soup. It's to "jiak liang".

Bittergourd Soup

Sis and I brought desserts and cakes. We got these strawberries from Cold Storage.
Huge ones with long stems.

Giant Strawberries

And a fruit geteau from Bengawan Solo as the birthday cake.
Someone put extra strawberry on top! How do you cut cakes with chocolate spikes on the side? Remove them lah.... :-)

Fruit Gateau from Bengawan Solo

Happy Birthday Christine!
Our Lord continue to bless you most bountifully!

Hi Keropokman
Just discovered your blog and I thought your reports are scrumptious! I am equally impressed with your food photography! May I ask, what do you use to capture these images?
