Riders Cafe @ Bukit Timah Saddle Club

Lunch today was a farewell lunch in a very unusual place. A place where it’s so peaceful and laid back, you can’t imagine that such places still exist in Singapore.

It was at the Bukit Timah Saddle Club, where you can smell the horses and have your lunch. Oh ya, the name of the place is Riders Cafe.

R’s going away after being in part of “Acad” side of the organisation for a very long time. Many people will miss him. Anyway, he had the Crab Au Gratin, which we were told is one of the favourite in this place. It’s quite well done.

Our treater (we will call her “Wooni”) for today’s lunch had the fish (Halibut). It was not too bad too and looks really pretty too ya?

I had the “Riders Burger”. Served as an opened up burger, I had it medium rare and with chips at the side. It was quite good, except the chip’s a bit overdone.

We shared two desserts. This is a huge chocolate dessert that I think was called “Death by Chocolate”. A huge slice of chocolates cake with choc sauce and a huge scoop of Vanilla ice cream. (You can see the little vanilla pods in the ice cream too)

It was huge and satisfying.

Wooni said that she comes here for the desserts usually and just orders everything and shared with all. She said we got to try their Crème Brûlée. It’s one of the better ones you can get in Singapore.

It was a good lunch, catching up with someone before they leave. Ah.. you will feel sad.
